WINE REVIEW

My second wine from Albourne Estate, this time in the form of a blend of Pinot Blanc 53%, Pinot Gris 37% and Bacchus 10%.

Highly aromatic nose, pear, lemon and tropics with floral notes – very English and slightly reminiscent of pear drop sweets.

The palate is really nice and crisp; bright fresh acidity with lemon, lime zest, gooseberry and then a slightly fuller rounded fruit mix of pear and tropical fruits.

Perfect summer drinking English wine, but I think the Bacchus from Albourne is a step up in intensity.
