WINE REVIEW

Really excellent example of English winemaking. The Bacchus from Chapel Down, often said to be England’s answer to Sauvignon Blanc, offers freshness, vibrant fruit flavours but never over powers.

Grapefruit and gooseberry are there, but are evenly matched with gentle flavours of melon with an elderflower and fresh leaf/grassy end note.

This wine stands well against NZ Sauvignon Blanc and is a firm favourite English white wine favourite of mine.
